Connie Mendoza is an artist from Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, whose work delves into the intersections of gender, identity, and environmental change. By sculpting with clay, she contemplates and reinterprets history, using humor and irony to address trauma and critique societal norms. Her process involves a dynamic interplay between intuition and structure, allowing endless transformations within the medium. Connie is currently pursuing her MFA at Claremont Graduate University.
